Bērzgale Catholic Church – a monument of national significance – wooden building. Bērzgale Church is one of the oldest wooden churches in Latgale. The foundations of the church were laid in 1744, but construction was completed in 1750 as the Church of Divine Providence and St. Stephen and St. Laura. Its construction was initiated in 1744 by parish priest Stefans Mickevičs.

The money and materials were provided by the then landowners of the Rēzekne region, the Sokolovskis, but the church was built by local Latvian farmers. The church was consecrated in 1751 by the Bishop of Livonia, Jozefs Domeniks de Kozeļevskis-Puzina, who dedicated it to God's Providence and the holy deacons and martyrs Stefans and Lauris.

There are 32 art monuments on display, including an organ, which is one of the oldest in Latgale. Bērzgale Church is one of the oldest wooden churches in Latgale. Its walls are built of hewn wooden logs. The church got its name from the nearby Lake Bērzgale.

The exterior of the church has changed little over time. In the middle is a large altar with beautiful Baroque wood carvings. The altar has two paintings of the Virgin Mary.
